Great to see so many campers enjoying the river and day trippers to the Reserve this summer. Christmas & New Year we were booked out. We have been quite strict this year with our one vehicle per site policy which meant the camp looked spacious and tidy with plenty of room for the children to play and ride their bikes. Thank you to everyone who helped us achieve this.

The camp kitchen had a real Christmas tree up this year...you can’t beat the smell of fresh pine. We also introduced a ‘share the love’ corner for campers to leave their non perishables. The fruit trees have been slow to take off so hopefully next season there will be plenty of fruit. Many thanks to Christine & Bridget from Creative Junk who entertained the children on New Years Eve with activities & a disco. They were a huge hit and we hope to have them again next year.

Our river tubes have been flying out the door and Wayne & I have also walked up the river and floated back. Very soothing and the water not as cold as we had expected.
The walking track directly over the bridge is nearly completed. This will be a great asset to the campground for those campers/day trippers who enjoy a bit of exercise. Thanks to the walking track workers for working in all weathers to get this completed.

Our lambs are now bolshie teenagers but still enjoy a bottle every now and again. I’m such a soft touch for a cute face. We have nearly finished with the refurbishment of the dorms, including all new bedding. The Common Room will be our next project. We want to turn this into a lounge room for the campers. We are also hoping to redesign the outdoor area of the camp kitchen before next summer. Lots to keep us out of mischief.
