I’m not sure where that year went, after a very wet Easter, we moved into a not too harsh winter and now here we are; looking at Christmas Bookings!
The big news for us was joining the Kiwi Parks Group; this means all sorts of benefits for us in terms of referrals and group marketing etc. The benefits for you are: the ability to buy Kiwi Park Membership cards which entitle you to 10% discount at any Kiwi Park and 10% discount on Bluebridge Cook Strait Ferry. You can also add to your Fly Buys points with all Kiwi Parks.
We took some time out from our park to visit some of the parks who are also in the group, even though there is a huge variety of differences in the parks the one thing that was the same was the warm welcome from all the operators. We will bring you more news of specials for members as they come available.
We have had a very busy school holiday period with Selwyn Guides coming the first weekend and a family reunion on the second weekend weekend with a church group coming in mid week, mostly in the Old School House Function Centre and Dorms, not a lot of people in the camp, so still plenty of room if you think you would like to bring the family out for a few days, the weather forecast is looking pretty good. The park is lovely and green and some of the blossom trees are flowering the colours are amazing, we are so lucky to live here and experience these changes daily.
Labour weekend bookings are coming in, but I think there will probably be plenty of space available if you just want to come out for a couple of days. With our late checkout you could always stay and take in the “Ashley Gorge Garden Experience” before you go home. Six amazing gardens to view and a quilt display at our very own Function Centre.
I can’t believe we have been here nearly 4 years and heading into our 5th Christmas/ New Year. We are looking forward to catching up with our returning campers and meeting a whole bunch of new people as well.
